During an off-air part of an CNBC interview, President Obama reportedly called entertainment figure Kanye West a ‘jackass’, while people present discussed his VMA interruption of Taylor Swift’s victory speech, according to The Huffington Post.

The news spread as ABC News reporter Terry Moran posted the remark on Twitter. It has since been deleted. However the viral nature of the internet has spread the tale.
